Kitchen Shelves

What makes a kitchen 'real' for me are open shelves. I'd like to believe that people who have these shelves take their cooking seriously.

A big kitchen with open shelving is something I wish to have when I grow up :D.

Wednesday Interior

One of the reasons this interior caught my eye, was how 'real' it looks, I mean, these people have stuff, that they use and.. it actually lays around in their house!

Don't get me wrong, I love a perfect styled interior shoot, but they sometimes give me the feeling that we are the only peeps out there who have lots and lots of magazines, souvenirs and other stuff laying around.

And another thing, that sofa looks very inviting, I could fall asleep on that right now.

Wednesday Interior (Kick Off)

From now on, my darlings I will try to enrich your Wednesday with an interior post. Hooray for this first post! 

It's another great interior featured on Design Sponge. And It reminds me of a lighter and 'happier' version of the Mad Men set.

I wouldn't mind spending some time in this lovely home, the kitchen is my favorite, that bench is something I dream about of having in my kitchen someday.

Souvenirs for your House

 
We always bring souvenirs back from traveling, mainly postcards, stickers, clothes or accessories like hats or bags. But after seeing this feature of Design Sponge about bringing home accessories for your house, I'm totally inspired. Next time, after our vacation, only the house will be the one to get accessorized.

I will save some space in my suitcase for a nice vase, a lovely rug, a beautiful silver teapot, vintage tins, a colorful quilt, or a basket.

Parisian Apartment

Although I spoke about my love for New York in another post, Paris is a city I'd love to live.

I think the Parisians really know how to enjoy life, they have great sense of style and taste in art and fashion. Especially after seeing this apartment of Rym (Mademoiselle Bagatelles), who's adorable bags already passed my bloggy, I'm convinced that an apartment in Paris would suit me just perfectly!

I love the use of color in her apartment, the red touches makes it a house that welcomes you and makes you feel right at home.

p.s. That origami mobile (Etsy) is awesome, and those macaroons make me drool!

Just stumbled across the wonderful interior of Naomi Stein.

I badly want her bar cart and The Eames reproduction lounger, can't believe she found the last one on the street! Her use of patterns really inspires me!

Some Swedish Inspiration

Effortless. Clean. Raw. These words pop up in my head as I go through the amazing photos of this Swedish interior. Somehow, the Swedes always seem to nail it.

Kitchen Tin

No more hiding of the compost bin, this will look perfect on our counter.

The Germans are more strict in waste separation than I'm used to. I think it's such a good thing, hopefully all European countries will have these regulations very soon.

Wonder Wall

The walls in our apartment are still snow-white, as we won't be doing any wallpaper, I needed some inspiration to decide what to put/hang on these walls.

I found a couple of ideas like frames, mirrors, textile, etc. Luckily, not as hard as I thought! Really need to go treasure hunting on the flea market this weekend.
