Just a little post about the pflaumenkuchen I made this weekend, it's a German pie with prunes.
The difference between 'regular' pies and pflaumenkuchen is the yeast that is added to the dough, I think it gives the pie more bite and a bit of a bread-like feeling.

yum!! I just moved to Europe with my husband (Amsterdam) and one of my favorite things has been trying all the local delicacies - this will have to be on the list when we visit germany :)
